Osheaga announced additional acts to their summer festival lineup. Sweet Thing is one of the new additions to the festival along with Ellie Goulding, Lupe Fiasco, Timber Timbre, Sam Adams, Glass Candy, Comis Strip, Egyptrixx, Frightened Rabbit, Dillon Francis, The Barr Brothers, Comis Strip, El Ten Eleven, Anita Tijoux, MC2, Seb Diamond and DuVall.
It’s been a long time coming but the debut album from Toronto based Sweet Thing is finally here (as bandmate and drummer Tyler put it “Today’s the last day we don’t have an album”).

Formed in 2004, by lead singer Owen Carrier and Alex Winter (guitar, backing vocals), the band includes Nick Rose (guitar, vocals), Morgan Waters (bass, backing vocals) and Tyler Kyte (drums). Sweet Thing recorded the debut album in Los Angeles with the help of veteran producer Rob Schnapf (Beck, Elliot Smith, The Vines) and engineer Doug Boehm (Katy Perry, Fall Out Boy).
The release date for the much anticipated SWEET THING album has been announced! August 17th with mark the day we will bop our heads and clap our hands to the pop rockin’ sounds of this Toronto-based quintet.
