RELIENT K CONTINUE TO TOUR CANADA WITH MAIN STAGE PERFORMANCES ON THE VANS WARPED TOUR & EARN RIAA CERTIFIED GOLD STATUS IN THE U.S. FOR MMHMM
Relient K are celebrating their second Gold album certification for MMHMM, the fourth and most current release from the Canton Ohio based group. Following in the stead of 2003's release and also Gold achieving "Two Lefts Don't Make A Right...But Three Do," RIAA status for Gold certification acknowledges sales in excess of 500,000 units - an incredible milestone in any bands career. MMHMM has proven to be the most successful and the fastest selling album of the bands career. Relient K's current single "Be My Escape" was previewed to the late night TV circuit when the band played The Tonight Show with Jay Leno on July 11. An appearance on Jimmy Kimmel has been confirmed for August 22, 2005. "Be My Escape" has been added at MTV in the U.S. and the video also made its debut on TRL, nestling into the top ten requested videos in their countdown program last week. July 12, 2005 marked the beginning of the Relient K's Vans Warped Tour dates in Canada. Covering a host of regional and national press, the guys will be establishing a further, more substantial core audience as their main stage appearances take them from British Columbia to Ontario throughout July.
