HOT OFF THE PRESS:
THE ’BEST EVER’ SERIES OF CD’S CONTINUES TO OFFER COMPLETE DISC COLLECTIONS TO CANADIANS WITH THE BEST BLUES ALBUM IN THE WORLD...EVER! - VOLUME 2

EMI Music Canada is following up the success of their recently released "The Best Beer Drinking Album in the World...Ever! - The Second Round" with The Best Blues Album in the World...Ever! -Volume 2 set for release on July 19, 2005.

Available just four weeks ago, "The Best Beer Drinking Album in the World...Ever! - The Second Round" entered the Canadian (Soundscan) Album chart at #35 and sold close to 4000 copies in the first two weeks at retail. Its predecessor "The Best Beer Drinking Album in the World...Ever!" has sold over 30,000 copies in Canada to date.

The Best Blues Album in the World...Ever! -Volume 2 is a comprehensive and highly anticipated double disc collection including more of the greatest Delta and Chicago Blues that made the first edition the biggest selling Blues compilation in Canada. The disc continues its educational trip through the history of America’s most evolutionary art form, beginning each disc with some of the finest examples of the Blues genre in its early acoustic elements before it grew and spread from the rural south to the northern industrial cities. The listener can feel the transformation of the Blues as it changes from a rudimentary folk art form to an urban expression of sexuality and power. It’s easy to see how it has mesmerized the masses from the rich and poor, black and white, urban and rural, old and young. The common thread that runs through all of this is the music’s ability to touch and express people’s most basic needs and emotions. Nothing speaks to the human condition like the Blues.
