Iron Maiden have more than earned their status as one of the foremost contemporary and influential Rock bands in the World as they debut at #1 in the UK (their fourth No 1 album here, the first being 1982’s seminal ‘The Number of the Beast’ album) and TWENTY other countries to date with The Final Frontier. This marks the band’s first #1 album chart debut in Canada and their highest-ever digital debut at #2.

“We have always loved playing in Canada and will always remember the support of the fans there from the very beginning when we played club shows in Toronto and Montreal in 81! We never supported anyone in Eastern Canada, we just grew with our fans. We are fortunate that due to this support our albums have generally done well in Canada both sales and chart wise, but we never got that #1, though close a couple of times l think, but this time we got there which is magic. Good Charlotte

The band recently wrapped up a two-month run on the Bamboozle Roadshow alongside Boys Like Girls, All Time Low, Third Eye Blind and Simple Plan and they’ll be spending July opening for Pink’s stadium tour in Europe before appearances this fall with a full North American tour planned early next year.

We can’t wait to see what the second decade holds in store with Good Charlotte!

Formed in 2004, by lead singer Owen Carrier and Alex Winter (guitar, backing vocals), the band includes Nick Rose (guitar, vocals), Morgan Waters (bass, backing vocals) and Tyler Kyte (drums). Sweet Thing recorded the debut album in Los Angeles with the help of veteran producer Rob Schnapf (Beck, Elliot Smith, The Vines) and engineer Doug Boehm (Katy Perry, Fall Out Boy).
