Free Stream of Bird and the Bee Performance

Tonight at 11pm EST The Bird and The Bee will performing songs from their forthcoming album Interpreting the Masters Volume 1: A Tribute to Daryl Hall and John Oates.

The album will be released by Blue Note Records on 3/23 but the show this Friday at the El Rey will be the only chance to see the band perform these songs live. Who needs to live in LA, when you can watch this special performance live right here?

If you haven’t seen or heard Naturally7, now’s the time to youtube them! You need to see it to believe it! With no instruments these guys can make the sounds of any band. In support of the 2010 Winter Olympics, N7 recreated “The Hockey Theme” for Canada’s Hockey Anthems Sounds of the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Winter Games album. Here is the video to prove to you, 7 voices, no intruments, totally awesome.

Last summer at The Montreal International Jazz Festival, Ben Harper & Relentless7 captivated an audience of 250,000 (!!!!) people. It was such an awesome show, the band decided to release a LIVE CD/DVD to share with fans who weren’t able to be there and those who were, to relive it.

Ben has had a long history with the festival and said this of the incredible night,”One of the greatest festivals in the world, in one of the greatest cities in the world, the Montreal International Jazz Festival has long been a musical home for me. This show was exceptionally special to myself and band because it felt like the entire city was there with us that night,” says Ben Harper.
