Sold-out concerts in Chicago and Minneapolis over this past weekend, as part of his “Escape Together World Tour,” and now Urban heads to Los Angeles to perform on the American Idol finale on FOX this Wednesday night. Details about Urban’s appearance have not been made public.
“I think this year in particular, has been one of the best for American Idol,” said Urban. “There are (and were) some truly gifted vocalists. The Rat Pack episode was the best, across the board – nights of singing that I’ve ever seen on television. I guess what I love most about the show, is watching the musical growth – to see them use the critique given and come back the next week and blow you away……that’s the magic of Idol.”

Fans of Katy Perry WON’T want to miss next week’s American Idol results show (May 13th). Along with the usual prognosticating from the judges and nail-biting from the contestants, our very own Ms. Perry will be performing “Waking up in Vegas”, the newest single from her platinum debut album (2x platinum in Canada) One Of The Boys.
Since the 2007 digital release of the hilarious, zeitgeist-capturing single “Ur So Gay,” singer-songwriter Katy Perry has gone from internet music sensation to bona fide pop-rock star. With her debut album, “One of the Boys,” the Grammy-nominated artist captured the hearts of critics and audiences alike with witty, sassy songs such as “Hot N Cold,” “Thinking of You” and “I Kissed a Girl.”

American business magnate and television personality, Donald Trump, has invited country music superstar Trace Adkins to make a special guest appearance on the live three-hour season finale of “The Celebrity Apprentice” on Sunday, May 10 at 8ET/7CT on NBC.
The stage has been set for what is sure to be a brutal battle between comedian Joan Rivers and poker icon Annie Duke as they enlist former contestants for one last task to determine who will be this year’s ultimate Apprentice.
Adkins, who finished second in the 2008 Celebrity Apprentice competition, will join last year’s crowned winner, British tabloid editor and “America’s Got Talent” Judge Piers Morgan, to talk with Mr. Trump about the memorable conflicts and drama that ensued in last year’s series. They will recount their year since appearing on the competition and how much money they’ve been able to raise for their respective charities. Mr. Trump will also ask Adkins and Morgan who they think should win this year, and why.
