Depeche Mode Restart ‘Tour Of The Universe’

Depeche Mode made a triumphant return to their ‘Tour of the Universe’ last night in Leipzig, Germany.  50,000 fans packed the Zentral Stadium to witness an electrifying performance.

One month after falling ill in Athens, Greece on May 12, Dave Gahan has recovered from surgery to remove a low grade malignant tumour in his bladder.

“I’m grateful to the fans for showing their support and thankful to my family, friends and all of the doctors who looked after me so well, “Dave Gahan said. ”Being back onstage is an incredible feeling and I’m looking forward to each and every show.”

Depeche Mode’s ‘Tour of the Universe’ continues in Berlin on  June 10.  Upcoming Canadian dates are Toronto on July 24 and Montreal on July 25.
